Ryan C. Fry, CEO
Stephen J. Tytran, President & General Counsel Stephen joined Scenera in 2004 as its Chief Patent Counsel, responsible for building and overseeing operation of the company's patent preparation and prosecution infrastructure. Prior to joining Scenera, he counseled and provided patent legal services to Fortune and International 500 companies while employed at a top-five national patent boutique, held various legal and engineering positions within the IBM Corporation, and worked on the technical staff at General Motors Corporation. Stephen holds an advanced degree in electrical engineering and is admitted to practice law in North Carolina and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Theodosios (Ted) Thomas, Chief Patent Counsel Prior to joining Scenera, Ted's legal experience included counseling Fortune and International 500 companies in securing both U.S. and foreign patent protection. His prior engineering experience includes the design and application of state-of-the-art life safety systems in complicated structures, including the Empire State Building, LaGuardia Airport, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the New York Stock Exchange and many other such sites. Ted holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and a Juris Doctor from St. John's University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in both North Carolina and New York and is registered to practice before the United States Patent & Trademark Office.
Dan Coole, Vice President of Business & Strategic Development Prior to joining Scenera, Dan was a key member of the management team for OZ Communications (acquired by Nokia) where he drove standardization initiatives and built the initial business for the leading mobile IM and mobile consumer email solutions. Dan has also held senior business, marketing, and product management positions for Ericsson, Mitsubishi Electronics, Booz-Allen, and CallWave, with a consistent focus on bringing new technology to the market. Dan received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Penn State and a master's degree in systems engineering from Virginia Tech.
